A family ensemble of seven well known to all Israeli families, by numerous TV programs and performances since they emigrated from Tajikistan. They cooperated with famous Israeli singers. Two of the Alaev showcased in Womex - Rotterdam and performed many concerts in Israel and internationally in world music festivals, Chicago and Madison World music festivals USA, Bogota - Columbia to name a few. Tamir Muskat (Balkan beat Box) is the musical producer of their second album, being produced by OLAMALE- Yvonne Kahan with release in 2011.
The family has received a major role within the Israeli society as the most energetic music bands around. Beat from central Asia with the energy of Gypsies.
Allo Alaev was born in 1930 and has deep roots in the music of Tajikistan and the Jewish music of Buchara. A great master of percussion, Doyra (a frame drum with metal rings inside), he accomplished to continue the tradition in the family. Allo Alaev has created a family & ensemble of three generations - beat virtuosos performing together creating a feast of colors and music.
The presence of the younger generation makes this a true cross over from the traditional to the contemporary and the small grandchildren have developed to highly qualified musicians playing: Doyra - Buchharian Frame Drum, Darbukka, Alofon - percussion, Cahon, Turkish Clarinet Garmon, Bayan (button accordion) Saz, Violin, Bucharian horn, Duduk, Kanoun and Vocals.
