The ensemble, led by Roy Yarkoni, is a melding of eight excellent musicians, (classical acoustic and electronic instruments), all from the core of Israel’s vibrant music industry.
LOVE SOUP has been performing since 2006 in varied venues throughout Israel - from underground clubs to participation in a concert series at the Tel Aviv Museum, to the Israel Festival and more. They have slowly built a loving, faithful audience.
LOVE SOUP creates a world of magic in concert. In contrary to bombastic, rhythmic explosions, the audience receives a gentle, exquisite performance, with touches of classical, ethnic, cabaret and electronic music. A true love soup of diverse musical styles.
The music is like a fairytale, much like their cover design.
The texts reveal shades of relationships, human fears, alienation and more.
Much of the poetry was written by the internationally acclaimed poet Karen Alkalay Gut, born in the UK, residing in Israel.
Yael Kraus, lead singer, brings her warm, soft angel-like voice to LOVE SOUP.
Yael is well known in Israel through her performances with Yoni Bloch and Assaf Amdursky, video clips and leading song in a popular TV drama.
Roy Yarkoni the composer, arranger and pianist of the ensemble has vast experience composing for theatre and dance. His incredible talent shines in this exciting theatrical performance.
Their debut album, "PANIC ENSEMBLE", was received enthusiastically by the critics. Radio and TV love them; their songs are played daily on national and local radio stations.
